A local Charity called ILEAP aims to make local communities across South Warwickshire, safer places to be for some of its most vulnerable members.
The Charity was established in 2000 to try and level the playing field so that disabled young people could enjoy the same leisure opportunities as their non-disabled peers. Now, over 200 Families have registered a loved one so that they can benefit from some of the 10,000 plus, opportunities provided each year.
The ILEAP Charity is intent on breaking down barriers and helping to raise disability awareness in the local community and make facilities and amenities safer for some of the most vulnerable and isolated in society.
ILEAP have been chosen by a local Pub to be their Charity of the Year which is great news.
The Pub is The Golden Cross in Ardens Grafton.
They are holding an event on Sunday 5th May called Graftonbury.
Eight local bands will perform in a huge marquee, the Musicians donate their time for free, there is to be an outdoor bar, stage, a bbq and hog roast.
Last year The Golden Cross raised over £2000 at the event for The Shakespeare Hospice.
As the chosen Charity we have been asked to supply 4-6 volunteers to man the gate from 1pm-9.30pm ish) collecting £5 entrance fees and selling raffle tickets.
If you are able to Volunteer for 1 hour between 1pm and 9.30pm to man the car park and sell raffle tickets, then please let us know your preferred time slot and we will be in touch .
Thank you in anticipation for your support, we look forward to hearing from you.
ILEAP are proud winners of the Pride of Stratford 2018 Carer of the Year Award.
Thank you to everyone who voted and all of our fantastic Staff and Volunteers for going the extra mile and making ILEAP such a fun and safe place to be.
