Learn2Ride with ILEAP and RDA : Summer Term 2023: Ages 8+ years: 4.15pm - 5.15pm

Our popular horse riding session is back...with a new venue!

ILEAP has teamed up with the Riding for Disabled HQ at Lowlands for an after-school club to bulld your confidence around our equine friends whilst learning to ride.  

Half of the hour session will be focused on learning to ride RDA's specially trained horses, following an initial assessment on the mechanical horse. The other half will help to build confidence by following an RDA approved enrichment programme; empowering members with knowledge about how to care for horses, how to look after them and groundwork.

Research has suggested that spending time with animals in an outdoor environment is beneficial to mental health and welbeing.

Please wear long trousers and long sleeved jackets.  The riding school can provide hats and boots for you to wear, although you are welcome to bring your own.

18th and 25th July

1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd August

We will take a short break so the ponies can have a holiday the last week of August and resume for Autumn term on 5th September.
