Cookery Classics: Online with Charlie: Classic Scones with Jam and Clotted Cream: All Ages

Join Charlie for our Saturday morning Cookery Session. 

You will need to have the ingredients ready beforehand and then join Charlie online, for a step by step cookery class.

Adult supervision may be required depending upon your cookery skill level.

Ingredients:

• 350g self-raising flour, plus more for dusting
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 85g butter, cut into cubes
• 3 tbsp caster sugar
• 175ml milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• squeeze lemon juice (see Know-how below)
• beaten egg, to glaze                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
• jam and clotted cream, to serve

For the cookey class you will need the relevant equipment to use. Here is a standard list we have done to help you to prepare.

• Mixing Bowl
• Wooden Spoon or Spatula
• Measuring Scales

• Round Cookie Cooker or pint glass
• Baking Tray lines with parchment paper
• Measuring Jug
• Teaspoon
• Tablespoon
