Marketability is your chance to Shine!

Purposeful day time activities at our fantastic venue

We start the day with a relaxed chat, moving in gently to a chilled out and informal activity, making use of the outside sports area, the garden, the IT suite, and arts and crafts area.

Personalised background music helps to keep that atmosphere relaxed as individuals have the opportunity to follow step by step activities and help to prepare, make, package and market our professional range of Marketability products.

We can provide additional responsibilities depending upon each persons requirements and can tailor our programme to meet the needs of the individual or the group.

A small group, you will need to book for the term so that we can minimise our contacts.

Session runs every Tuesday and Thursday during term time and during the school holidays

ILEAP and RDA Introduction to Horsemanship: Spring Term 2023: 12 years and under: 4.30pm - 5.30pm

RDA National Training Centre

An ILEAP under 12's, after school short course.  Please book onto all 5 weeks.

ILEAP has teamed up with the Riding for Disabled HQ at Lowlands for an after-school club to bulld your confidence around our equine friends.  The session will consist of an RDA approved wellness and enrichment programme involving learning to care for horses and ground work.  The aim of these sessions is for participants to become familiar and comfertable around horses, in a supportive small group setting.

Research has suggested that spending time with animals in an outdoor environment is beneficial to mental health and welbeing.

Week one- Tea with a pony. Meet some of the ponies and learn a bit about them while enjoying your picnic tea from home in the riding school.

Week two- Grooming, how to groom a pony, what is in a grooming kit, learn about pony colours and markings.

Week three- Mucking out, learn how we keep our equine homes nice and clean including types of bedding,  and how we care for them including what a pony eats.

Week four- Mechanical horse session.  As we are now feeling confident with our knowlege, lets be brave and try out the RDA's mechanical horse!

Week five- Ridden session.  Our final session in this short course will be sitting on a pony and having a ride around the school on a lead rope.

Please wear long trousers and long sleeved jackets.  The riding school can provide hats and boots for you to wear, although you are welcome to being your own.
