Learn2Ride with ILEAP and RDA : Autumn Term 2023: Ages 8+ years: 4.15pm - 5.15pm

Our popular horse riding session is back...with a new venue!

You must book for the whole term as you will be weighed and measured and allocated a horse at the first session.

ILEAP has teamed up with the Riding for Disabled HQ at Lowlands for an after-school club to bulld your confidence around our equine friends whilst learning to ride.  

Half of the hour session will be focused on learning to ride RDA's specially trained horses, following an initial assessment on the mechanical horse. The other half will help to build confidence by following an RDA approved enrichment programme; empowering members with knowledge about how to care for horses, how to look after them and groundwork.

Research has suggested that spending time with animals in an outdoor environment is beneficial to mental health and welbeing.

Please wear long trousers and long sleeved jackets.  The riding school can provide hats and boots for you to wear, although you are welcome to being your own.
