Cookery Classics: Online with Vanessa: Classic Scones with Jam and Clotted Cream: All Ages
Join Vanessa for our Tuesday morning Cookery Session.
You will need to have the ingredients ready beforehand and then join Vanessa online, for a step by step cookery class.
Adult supervision may be required depending upon your cookery skill level.
Ingredients:
- 350g self-raising flour, plus more for dusting
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 85g butter, cut into cubes
- 3 tbsp caster sugar
- 175ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- squeeze lemon juice (see Know-how below)
- beaten egg, to glaze
- jam and clotted cream, to serve
For the cookey class you will need the relevant equipment to use. Here is a standard list we have done to help you to prepare.
- Mixing Bowl
- Wooden Spoon or Spatula
- Measuring Scales
- Rolling Pin
- Round Cookie Cooker or pint glass
- Baking Tray lines with parchment paper
- Measuring Jug
